Sly & Robbie Album Launched
Collaboration With Amp Fiddler Due
Reggae legends Sly and Robbie are release a collaboration with Amp Fiddler as part of a new series from Strut.
The legendary duo have played on or producer over 200,000 songs - a feat in part due to the popularity of their 'riddims' which have been sampled on multiple dancehall records. Sly and Robbie emerged from the soundsystems of Jamaica to work with Mick jagger and Grace Jones amongst others, in the process becoming two of the most in demand session players in the world.
Strut records have launched a new series of albums called "Inspiration Information" that take young and emerging talent and pair them with someone woh have inspired them. The first in this series pairs Detroit soul maverick Amp Fiddler with reggae heroes Sly and Robbie, with others to come from Ashley Beedle and Horace Andy as well as Mulatu Astatke and The Heliocentrics among others.
The Strut "Inspiration Information" series launches with Amp Fiddler / Sly and Robbie in September.
