Slow Club Christmas EP

Twee poppers Slow Club are set to provide some seasonal thrills this December with the release of their new EP 'Christmas, Thanks For Nothing'.

It's that time off year already. All day on November 1st shopkeepers up and down the country laboured away, throwing out pumpkins and setting out the tinsel and advent calendars.

The year is beginning to draw to a close, and the annual rush for Christmas presents is set to begin. Slow Club are due to release a new EP just in time for the festive season, with some rather surprising (though familiar) sentiments.

It's been a big year for Slow Club. The release of their first album was followed by extensive touring, with the twee duo kept busy throughout the festival season.

Now the band have confirmed details of a new festive release. Due out on December 14th, 'Christmas, Thanks For Nothing' contains some new material alongside some great covers.

Rebecca and Charles take turns recreating two Darlene Love Christmas classics. Charles takes hold of ‘All Alone On Christmas’ - from the soundtrack of 'Home Alone 2'. Band mate Rebecca meanwhile belts out a stunning version of the Phil Spector penned ‘Christmas (Please Come Home)’.

Slow Club have crafted a musical tribute to Christmas before. Last year's 'Christmas TV' download pops up again on the new EP accompanied by the new tracks ‘Christmas, Thanks For Nothing’ and ‘It’s Christmas And You Are Boring Me’.

A bittersweet tribute to the festive period, the new EP is classic Slow Club. 'Christmas, Thanks For Nothing' is due for release on December 14th. The band have confirmed the following live show:
