Slash To Sue Over Dream Home
Guitarist sends for lawyers
Former Guns N Roses guitarist Slash is set to sue after being sold a house he claims is too small to party in.
The Velvet Revolver axeman was sold the Hollywood Hills house in 2006 by real estate agent Gregory Holcomb and Sotheby's International Realty. Slash claims that when he was sold the property he was informed it was a great place to throw parties.
Little did the iconic guitarist know, however, that the house would have parking restrictions and would be, he claims, smaller than was advertised. Infuriated, Slash sold the house in 2007 and began hosting his monthly cheese and wine events elsewhere.
The guitarist attempted to sue the parties involved in the sale, and a Los Angeles judge has given the go ahead for a court case. The resulting case sees Slash seeking more than $1 million and punitive damages.
Slash has been busy of late fending off comparisons with the new line up of Guns N Roses. The legendary rock group released their first album in 17 years in 2008, with 'Chinese Democracy' slipping out to widespread relief.
Sotheby's International Realty have yet to comment. No date has been set for the trial.
