Slash On Guns N Roses Reunion

Iconic guitarist Slash has revealed that there is no chance of him ever re-joining Guns N Roses.

Slash is one of the most famous guitar players of his generation. Blending hard rock with metal and adding a little Latin rhythms for flavour, Slash helped turn 'Appetite For Destruction' into a rock classic.

However the guitarist exited the group in 1993, following a series of dramatic rows with singer Axl Rose. Since then Slash has worked on a variety of projects, notably the group Velvet Revolver, but fans still want him to re-join the iconic Los Angeles group.

“I just feel for people that don't seem to get it" he told BBC 6Music. "All things considered, it's been a really long time, and everybody's moved on."

“At the same time I appreciate that I was part of a band that had such a huge impact and touched so many people, and I feel bad for them that it's not around - but it is what it is..."

Currently putting the final touches to his new solo album, Slash has recruited a raft of stunning guest vocalists to help him bring the material together. “I've been very low key on this, because I was waiting for all the releases for all the different singers, but some of the cats are out of the bag. There's a lot of people on the record" he hinted.

Slash added that he was enjoying life as a solo star. "It's just nice to be in charge of my own destiny, even if it's just for one record."

"Just not to be in a group situation, and at the mercy of what everybody as a whole feels, but being responsible for my own decisions and having the final say."

Slash' debut album is due out in the Spring.
