It's rather beautiful...

Sivu and Marika Hackman have paired up on new track 'I Hold' - stream it below.

Collaborations are all about surrendering to what is possible, abandoning your preconceptions in the process. A good collaboration can result in something spectacular, unlocking previously hidden areas as it does so.

Sivu is a fast rising producer, currently on tour with pop juggernaut in waiting London Grammar. Finding time to head back into the studio, the beatsmith invited Marika Hackman to join him.

A precocious talent in her own right - check out a Clash 'Ones To Watch' piece for evidence - Hackman is better known for producing tender, plaintive alt folk lullabies than dancefloor stompers.

The results, though, are quite inspiring. There's a folk edge to the production on 'I Hold' - those revolving arpeggios, the fragile tones - while Marika Hackman's voice has a beautifully elegant quality.

Chilled and chilling, you can listen to 'I Hold' below.

Sivu and Marika Hackman have confirmed a co-headline tour, dates as follows:

10 Brighton The Hope
11 London The Lexington
12 Cambridge Portland Arms
13 Manchester Gullivers
14 Bristol The Birdcage
