Paul McCartney is set to release his long awaited solo album 'New' on October 14th.
An enduring global icon, Paul McCartney has spent the past few years (in a creative sense, at least) looking backwards. A number of re-issues have emerged, while studio album 'Kisses On The Bottom' saw the songwriter re-interpret some pre-rock 'n' roll Tin Pan Alley classics.
Heading back into the studio, the singer felt ready to work on something fresh. Teaming up with a raft of collaborators, the results will be gathered on 'New'.
Due for release on October 14th, 'New' is Paul McCartney's first set of entirely original material in six years. Containing 12 new songs, title cut 'New' emerged online this morning (August 29th) and was produced by Mark Ronson.
Speaking about the track, McCartney said: "We can do what we want, we can live as we choose."
