Sigur Ros Re-Issue

Vinyl versions announced

Icelandic post rock wonders Sigur Ros are set to re-issue two of their albums on a new luxurious vinyl format.

Is it possible to describe Sigur Ros without using the term 'glacier-like'? ClashMusic doubts if we've ever read an article about the group that doesn't refer to slow moving ice, but perhaps that's because their music is simply indescribably beautiful.

Ornate and mysterious, Sigur Ros stand with the best groups of the past decade. Debut album 'Agaetis Bryjun' stunned music lovers and won the band a massive following, with their live shows leaving fans awestruck.

Now Sigur Ros have announced details of a lavish new re-issue. The band will release 'Ageatis Bryjun' and '( )' on thick 180 grm DMM vinyl, having been remastered at Abbey Road.

The albums will be packaged in the same deluxe format as the original version. Part of an ongoing program by the group's label Fat Cat, the re-issue series will also contain Animal Collective, No Age, Max Richter and many more.

The remastered vinyl-only copies of 'Agaetis Bryjun' and '( )' are available now.
