Shout Out Louds

Swedish electro-indie maestros Shout Out Louds have released the atmospheric ‘Illusions’, the latest snippet from their forthcoming fourth album ‘Optica' (released April 30th on Merge).

Starting out as a melodic, Cure-influenced act a decade ago with the sleeper success of their debut record ‘Howl Howl Gaff Gaff’, the band’s sound has gradually become more synth-based and cinematic.

Keyboardist Bebban Stenborg said of making the album: “Together we made up a downstairs world of explosive colours, big, warm sounds and a very, very uninhibited work process.”

Propelled by whistling electro blips and a soaring melancholic chorus, ‘Illusions’ reflects this process and is their biggest pop moment yet. The band will tour worldwide throughout 2013, playing London’s Lexington and XOYO on April 2nd and June 13th.

Tickets are still available for their XOYO show, starting at £12.50. Check out the track below.
