Sex Pistols - New Album?

Punk Legends Hint At Studio Return

Legendary punk group Sex Pistols have hinted that they may be about to return to the studio for the first time in 30 years, it has been reported.

The band have reformed and are now an ongoing touring attraction. Frontman John Lydon has been in the new continually this year, with allegations of a racist spat with Bloc Party singer Kele Okereke and a high profile appearance in TV advert for a butter firm.

In a new interview with The Quietus bassist Glen Matlock hinted at a possible return to the studio.

"The Sex Pistols? We've done our bit this year…we'll meet again in the new year and see what we want to do," he explained.

"We were not recording a new album - I think that journalists are making it up, but you can never say never," he added.

"We all got ideas between us. It's a double-edged sword if you do it not good as the original, and if you don't do it people want to know why - but it's up to us. We are the masters of our own destiny."

Sex Pistols released only one complete studio album - 1977's incendiary debut 'Never Mind The Bollocks'.
