Seasick Steve Oldest Brit Nominee

Bluesman breaks record

Itinerant wanderer and full time bluesman Seasick Steve has broken another record by becoming the oldest artist to be nominated for a Brit Award.

The American artist has worked as a musician for some time - if we are to believe his songs, since he was a child. Seasick Steve shot to fame after a number of stunning festival appearances and a sensational turn on Jools Holland's Hootenanny.

The singer has been nominated for a Brit Award, receiving the nod in the category 'Best International Male Solo Artist'. Apparently 68, though no one knows for sure how old he is, Seasick Steve released his last album 'I Started Out With Nothin' And
I Still Got Most Of It Left' in 2008. Debuting in the Top Ten, it became the singer's best selling to date.

Before donning his tuxedo for an appearance at the Brits, Seasick Steve has the small matter of a UK tour to complete. Dates below:

January
23 Manchester Apollo
25 Newcastle City Hall
27 Leeds Academy
29 Wolverhampton Civic Hall
31 London Hammersmith Apollo
