Seasick Steve For Liverpool Music Week

Huge event expands

World renowned bluesman Seasick Steve will perform at Liverpool Olympia Theatre on Saturday 7th November.

Famous for his unique guitar playing and story telling ability, Seasick Steve has attracted attention from the likes of Janis Joplin and Joni Mitchell, which should give you an indication of his musical capability. In 2009 he was nominated for a Brit Award as 'International Solo Male Artist' and sold out two 2 entire tours.

Other scheduled acts include The Bays and indie rockers Twisted Wheel. The Bays are all about improvised music, they never rehearse, they don't have a set-list and they’ve never recorded live in a studio. The only way to hear them is to see them in their purest form, live on stage.

Twisted Wheel is making the rounds as one of the busiest touring bands around and has performed with the likes of Oasis and Paul Weller. The Bays will perform on Friday 13th November and Twisted Wheel will perform on the 6th of November. Both bands will play free shows in the Masque Theatre.

Liverpool Music Week is the UK's biggest indoor winter music festival, hosting over 80 events across 20 city centre venues and featuring over 300 live acts. The festival which is now in its seventh Year brings together some of the UK's hottest acts and offers fresh and emerging talent a platform to perform.

Other acts to have already been announced for Liverpool Music Week are Kasabian, The Specials, Reverend And The Makers, The Enemy and Gallows.
