Rustie Announce Surprise Single

Listen to 'Slasherr' now...

Rustie has announced plans for new surprise single 'Slasherr' to be released through Numbers.

Part of a wave of Scottish producers who matched instrumental hip hop with bass saturation, Rustie has always trod his own path. Debut album 'Glass Swords' was rightly lauded, winning overwhelming critical acclaim with its fluorescent Futurism.

Since then, Rustie dropped a few new tracks into his impeccable Essential Mix before confirming plans to work with Danny Brown. Now the producer has broken cover with a surprise single – and a new home.

'Slasherr' is out now digitally, with Glasgow label Numbers supporting the release. Rustie's first release for the imprint, it's thought to be a one off club cut as work progresses on his second album for Warp Records.

The title cut is a typically ballsy, colourful take on instrumental hip hop – all loping, machine like beats and punchy synths this is one of Rustie's most straight forward, in-your-face efforts yet.
