Run To The Beat Powered By Nike+ Launches Weekly Training Runs

It's running, but not just running...
Annie Mac

As London’s most distinctive half-marathon, this year’s Run To The Beat powered by Nike+ will see over 19,000 people pound the pavements of the capital on 8th September.

The race itself will be soundtracked by some of the biggest DJs and personalities that London’s thriving music scene has to offer, and for the first time the route will begin and end in the scenic Greenwich Park

As an official media partner, Clash will be taking part in the race and documenting our trials, tribulations and tracks along the way.

This journey will begin on the 10th June at the Nike+ Running store, Boxpark, in London’s Shoreditch with weekly Nike+ Run Clubs, designed specifically for runners training for the half-marathon (Facebook information right here). These are open to anyone, so come down and join in. Runners should arrive at 6.30pm and come changed and ready to run.

Let’s not forget that this race isn’t just about the running. Its also about the music that motivates you, and Clash will be posting weekly playlists and DJ mixes each Monday ahead of the Nike+ Run Clubs for you to listen to whilst circling the streets of east London.

General entries for the race in September have sold out, but you can still enter through the events’ official charities. What’s more, Clash has a few select places to give away as part of an online competition  - head here to enter, and good luck!
