El-P and Killer Mike are set to release a second instalment of 'Run The Jewels' next year.
Released as a free download, 'Run The Jewels' could well be the year's finest hip hop album. Combining the talents of El-P and Killer Mike, the tape was a superb distillation of exactly why both are so passionately needed by Stateside hip hop.
Since then, the duo have played a handful of North American shows, with 'Run The Jewels' set to make it's British debut later this month. At the weekend, El-P decided to put fans out of their misery by signalling the release of a sequel:

Speaking to Clash earlier this year, Killer Mike joked that he wanted to reach the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame (twice) after releasing the sequel. "Absolutely. We’re a real rap group. I wanna make the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame twice – once as a solo artist, and as a member of a group."
Musing on 'Run The Jewels', their own careers and their contemporaries you can catch up on that El-P x Killer Mike feature HERE.
