The Rumble Strips

British pop soul combo Rumble Strips have announced that the producer of their next album will be none other than globe trotting hit maker Mark Ronson.

Ronson is adept at turning out soulful hits, having produced both Amy Winehouse's "Back To Black" album and his own "Versions". His slick style, at times bordering on lounge, recalls the classic cuts of the past while keeping in touch with the latest production developments.

The Rumble Strips are led by Charlie Waller and recall the horn driven heartfelt fury of prime era Dexys. Their debut album "Girls And Weather" was a timeless collection of great pop songs which, despite some strong reviews, failed to breach the UK Top 40. Ronson is currently on a golden run of hits, and will presumably be able to turn their brass into gold.

In a statement Ronson said:

"I came across The Rumble Strips through their cover of 'Back to Black', and Amy and I agreed it was kind of better than our own. I picked up their album and fell and totally fell in love with it. Then I decided I wanted to sign them to my label and work on their next album. It was really as straight forward as that. We're all very excited about the new partnership."
