Roots Manuva

The maverick genius of UK hip hop Roots Manuva has announced details of a new UK tour as well as a single 'Let The Spirit' due to be released on October 27th.

Already a legend with such seminal releases as 'Run Come Save Me', Roots Manuva has constantly changed and evolved, with new album 'Slime And Reason' being no exception. Eyeing up the young guns of the grime and dubstep scenes, the rapper has taken on board new influences and let young producers such as Toddla T and Metronomy run riot over his music.

The result is a hugely re-invigorated album, boasting such stand out tracks as new single 'Let The Spirit'. The latest track in the Roots Manuva canon to address the prickly topic of religion, 'Let The Spirit' is a joyous tribute to the West Indian style of worship he knew as a boy.

Released on October 27th, 'Let The Spirit' is the latest fascinating nugget to emerge from the creative gold mine that is Roots Manuva.
