Ronnie Wood Buys Hendrix Guitar

Rolling Stones legend - and now a reformed Face - Ronnie Wood has bought a guitar once used by Jimi Hendrix as a present for his girlfriend, it has been announced.

A member of the Rolling Stones for over 30 years, Ronnie Wood stands as true rock aristocracy. Wood began life on the British r'n'b circuit before joining the Birds. A founder member of legendary group The Faces, their recent reformation has brought a smile to nayone who loves boozed up funtime rock 'n' roll.

Wood is thought to have bought the £13,000 guitar as a gift for his apparent girlfriend, Ekaterina Ivanova. The guitarist is apparently giving her lessons, and Ivanova has plenty of time to learn being just 20 years old.

“She fell in love with the guitar before Christmas but rather than buying it while she was with him, Ronnie wanted to wait and surprise her,” a friend told the Sun newspaper.

“He loves to treat her with gifts and tokens of his affection. He has been spending a small fortune on her which she is more than happy to take.”
