Ronnie Spector To Play London Show

As part of Women Of The World festival...

An iconic name in pop music, Ronnie Spector remains a star.

One of the leading voices in The Ronettes, hits such as 'Be My Baby' can fill the dancefloor in just about any country you care to name.

Preparing her new 'Beyond The Beehive' live show, Ronnie Spector is set to bring it to London as part of the Southbank Centre's Women Of The World festival. Speaking about the event, Spector said:

"In January of 1964, The Ronettes and I stepped off the plane at Heathrow. I'll never forget that moment walking into the airport; I could feel the excitement in the air. To be returning to London to debut my Beyond the Beehive show at Southbank Centre’s WOW festival is mind-blowing. From The Stones to The Beatles to Eric Clapton and The Yardbirds, those were magical times in the UK and such a part of my history. I can't wait to bring my Beyond the Beehive show back to where it all started."

Marking International Women’s Day (March 8th, write it down) the festival runs between March 7th – 9th. Other highlights include 'Mirth Control' – an evening of music and comedy hosted by Sandi Toksvig – and a special event curated by Anna Meredith.
