American dates added

The Who's Roger Daltrey has added yet more dates to his special 'Tommy' tour.

With live performances becoming the focus of the music industry, big hitters from a previous generation are pushing their way to the fore. This morning (May 13th) ClashMusic has already brought reports of a Roger Waters show, now The Who are the focus of our attention.

Lead singer Roger Daltrey confirmed plans for a one off 'Tommy' show earlier this year. Re-visiting the classic concept album, The Who's iconic frontman packed the Royal Albert Hall with all proceeds going to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Deciding to take the album back out on the road, Roger Daltrey announced a series of British shows. Backed by an all star band, the singer has enjoyed the blessing of songwriter Pete Townshend.

Now the frontman has decided to extend the tour. Roger Daltrey will take 'Tommy' to the United States after confirming a number of extra dates.

Opening this summer, the British tour begins in Alcester on July 3rd. The dates continue with shows in Gateshead, Glasgow, Manchester and more before hitting London's Indigo2 venue on July 21st.

A one off Irish show has been confirmed, with Roger Daltrey due to perform in Dublin's Marlay Park. As a special bonus the singer is offering a meet & greet package which contains:

- One premium, reserved seated ticket located within the first 5 rows of the stage
- If venue is general admission, package will include GA ticket
- Exclusive Meet & Greet with Roger Daltrey
- Personal photograph with Roger Daltrey
- Autographed 8X10 photo
