Starring The Cribs, Glasvegas and more

Day tickets for Scotland's wildest party RockNess went on sale this morning (March 18th).

Held in a valley by the banks of Loch Ness, RockNess has emerged as one of the country's most talked about music events. Last year saw a sold out crowd soak up performances by Vampire Weekend, The Strokes and more.

Returning for another instalment of music and mayhem as only Scottish crowds can provide, RockNess boasts a stellar line up. Headliners for 2011 include The Chemical Brothers, Kasabian and Paolo Nutini.

Elsewhere on the bill, The Cribs are due to preview their new album while Frightened Rabbit will bring their stirring live show to the banks of Loch Ness.

Glasvegas recently returned with their second album, and the Scottish group are having the time of their lives. Opening 2011 with a tour of the Highlands, the band will return to the region for a slot at RockNess.

Born as a dance festival, RockNess will once again boast some fantastic DJ talent. Annie Mac, Erol Alkan and more are named on the bill with a performance from American turntablist DJ Shadow set to be amongst the weekend's highlights.

The Sub Club Soundsystem is due to roll in town, with appearances from German pairing Modeselektor, Numbers lynchpin Jackmaster, Clouds, Boom Monk Ben and more.

Weekend passes went on sale late last year, with some bargain prices available. However not everyone wants to camp, and organisers put day passes on sale earlier this morning (March 18th).

RockNess Festival Director Jim King commented “If camping is not your thing then there is still no better way to see your favourite Rock Ness headliners. The fun and games last all day and well into the night so it’s a guaranteed action packed day out."

RockNess runs between June 10th - 12th.
