RockNess 2011 Line Up Expands

Bombay Bicycle Club hit Dores

Bombay Bicycle Club are amongst the latest additions to the line up of this year's RockNess.

Held in the Scottish Highlands, RockNess is a little festival with a big punch. Dominating the festival awards last year, the event is set to return in 2011 after confirming a host of headline acts.

Kasabian, The Chemical Brothers and more are due to play at the Dores event with new acts being announced this morning (May 5th).

Bombay Bicycle Club are set to take a break from the studio, having begun work on their second album proper. Last year's collection 'Flaws' demonstrated another side to the indie troupe, which could be reflected in new material.

The London based outfit are set to travel to the Highlands, where they will give fans a sneak peak at what they've been up to. Bombay Bicycle Club are making their first visit to RockNess, where they will be joined by plenty of newcomers.

Hailing from Glasgow, Sparrow & The Workshop make stark, melancholic Americana. A stripped down trio, their live shows display a powerful dynamic which adds an intense side to their songwriting.

Critically acclaimed, the group will return to RockNess this summer alongside Afghan Raiders, Funeral Suits and an appearance from fast rising production team D/R/U/G/S/.

RockNess Organiser Jim King commented: “We’re really pleased to announce that Bombay Bicycle Club will be performing at RockNess. They fit perfectly into the Saturday Goldenvoice arena and are really great live band to catch at the festival.”

Tickets are on sale now.

RockNess takes place between June 10th - 12th.
