Robert Plant For Glastonbury?

Singer admits it could happen

Former Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant has hinted that he could be set to perform at next year's Glastonbury festival.

Led Zeppelin remain one of the most iconic rock groups of all time. In their decade long reign of terror the group released countless stunning albums, providing the blueprint for heavy rockers across the world.

Topped off by Robert Plant's wailing vocals, the singer recently ruled himself out of any possible re-unions. Claiming he was tired of electric music, Robert Plant was also committed to his work with Alison Krauss.

The pair crafted 2007's 'Raising Sand' together, which went on to become an enormous success. Picking up a handful of Grammy awards, it seems that for Robert Plant there is most definitely life beyond Led Zeppelin.

Speaking to BBC 6Music, the singer admitted that he had been in contact with Glastonbury and could perform at the 2010 event.

"I've just been talking to Michael (Eavis). There's place for me there, but I have no idea who with" the rock icon claimed.

Next year marks the 40th anniversary of the event, with Michael Eavis stating his intention to book acts from throughout the event's lifespan. Robert Plant claimed that he may perform, but refused to be drawn on details.

"There is a chance yeah, but I don't know with who" the singer said. Asked if he could perform by himself Robert Plant replied "oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm good at card tricks."

Glastonbury have not confirmed any details of the line up for next year's event. Tickets for the event went on sale earlier this month, selling out almost instantly.
