Initially a pirate radio station quite literally run on a shoestring budget, Rinse FM's journey to become a music powerhouse is almost entirely unique.
Thanks to discoveries such as Katy B, Jessie Ware and Route 94, Rinse has established itself as a major player, arguably defining entire trends in what it means to make British pop music in 2014.
Turning 20 this year, Rinse has unveiled a series of events to toast its milestone anniversary. Opening with a party at Notting Hill Carnival, the station is also set to head out to Ibiza Rocks.
Hosting a special Late At Tate session in December, Rinse will also collaborate with Billionaire Boy's Club - Pharrell Williams' clothing house.
Never losing sight of its core mission, a series of genre takeovers will expose new music on the station while also highlighting pivotal moments in the past 20 years of British music.
