Introducing... United Nations Of Sound

Former Verve singer Richard Ashcroft is preparing to release his first album with United Nations Of Sound.

Richard Ashcroft dominated British music during the 90s. Over the course of three albums The Verve established themselves as a hugely innovative group, whose euphoric songwriting finally broke through to the mainstream with 'Urban Hymns'.

Turning solo, Ashcroft re-joined the fold for The Verve's ill fated re-union. Taking time away from music, the singer formed a brand new collective.

United Nations Of Sound is a bold new move from the singer, with the band featuring some stellar musicians. Alongside Richard Ashcroft the collective feature the likes of guitarist Steve Wyreman, bassist Paul 'DW' Wright and drummer Derrick Wright.

In addition to this the album will contain a number of guest stars, with Ashcroft choosing to work with people outside of the indie rock community.

Sessions for their debut album took place across the globe, with United Nations Of Sound living up to their name. The band moved between Los Angeles, New York and London with sessions being helmed by producer No ID.

With previous credits including work with Jay-Z, No ID has added something unique to the musical blend.

United Nations Of Sound recently released the video to new single 'Are You Ready?'. With a handful of headline shows confirmed for the summer, the collective are gearing up for the release of their debut album.

Due for release on July 19th, the self-titled effort comes alongside some rare Richard Ashcroft solo material. The singer has penned a number of tracks for a short film on sex trafficking, set for general release later in the year.

United Nations Of Sound will release their debut album on July 19th. Tracklisting:
