Razorlight US Invasion

Band to storm Letterman, SXSW

British indie giants Razorlight are set to begin a charm offensive on the United States.

Despite massive success in their home country, Razorlight have been a relative flop in America. Despite writing numerous hit singles (in this country) about the place, the United States has yet to succumb to their charms with both their previous albums failing to set the heather alight.

New album 'Slipway Fires' was a huge hit in the UK, and its upcoming Stateside release will be accompanied by a series of promotional dates.

The band will perform an album release party on March 10th at New York's Hiro Ballroom before taking on the nation with a high profile slot on 'The Late Show With David Letterman'.

After this the band will head out to SXSW. Razorlight have a new, beefed up sound honed in UK arenas - ClashMusic wonders how this will translate to bar-rooms in Austin, Texas.

Nonetheless the band will play several showcase events, before concluding their run through the United States with a special show in San Francsisco on March 24th.

Razorlight and heading to the United States - look out America!
