Razorlight On New Album

'Slipway Fires' Easy To Make

Razorlight's controversial frontman Johnny Borrell has revealed the process behind the band's forthcoming album 'Slipway Fires'.

In an interview with BBC 6Music the singer revealed that the band have got to grips with the studio process, resulting in 'Slipway Fires' being their easiest to make thus far. "Razorlight in pleasure to make shocker!" he said. "Yeah, it was really good.

"We wanted to record it quickly, not over-produce it or overthink it too much. We felt like we had the strongest songs we've had so far, and when you've got that material there's not a lot else to do but just go in and record it."

The songwriter added that he has no difficulty finding inspiration, with the new album 'Slipway Fires' being recorded in only two months. "People say it every album - difficult first album, difficult second, ah, tricky third, ah, fourth but for me, writing-wise, it was like exploring the shadows cast by the success of the first and second one."

The new Razorlight album 'Slipway Fires' is released on November 3rd.
