Razorlight Critic Rage
Borrell Tires Of Flak
Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell has given a new interview in which he rages at critics who belittle him and his group's new album 'Slipway Fires' it has been reported.
The band recently released new album 'Slipway Fires' which promptly flew into the charts. Containing hit single 'Wire To Wire' it was a typically bombastic effort, containing stadium style atmospherics.
Borrell believes that some critics have failed to give the album a chance due to the egocentric reputation that has been afforded to him. The frontman said: "I'm not happy with the reviews on the whole because I don't think people have given the album a chance."
He continued: "If I go to a gig and see a band I don't like, at least I can be objective, but it seems people want to believe the crap that's written about me. But the haters aren't going to win."
In the new interview with British red top Daily Star the singer insisted he is committed to Razorlight. "It's total rubbish. I've never said I want to release a solo album. Noel Gallagher writes the songs for Oasis, but he doesn't get the amount of flak I get."
He concluded: "People prefer to think I'm always throwing a strop, but I'm committed to this band."
