Autumn dates confirmed

Ray Davies has opened the sale of tickets for his Autumn tour by selling his camera.

Ray Davies' back catalogue is - for want of a better phrase - a national treasure. Carving out truly English rock 'n' roll, his work with The Kinks is enough to seal his a place on any songwriting list.

Heading back out on tour, Ray Davies is set to play a handful of shows this summer. Announcing a number of Autumn shows, tickets for the Kinks icon went on sale this morning (May 18th).

Ray Davies welcomed the sale with an upbeat message on his Facebook page. "I will be going to the Big Star/Alex Chilton tribute show at the Barbican, London on May 28th. I hope to get up and sing a song or two with the band if all goes well next week."

Elsewhere, the songwriter is actually clearing out his home. Selling several items on eBay, Ray Davies is currently flogging the camera he "used to make my Charles Mingus doc as well as a few promo videos".
