Danish drone-duo The Raveonettes are due to play a very special one off show in London next month.

The Raveonettes may hail from 21st century Scandinavia but the two-piece are in love with 1950s America. From their slicked back hair to their leather jackets the group are the rock 'n' roll biker gang that time forgot.

Fond of imposing strict rules to their material, The Raveonettes have previously released an album written entirely in the key of B flat major - with a sequel in B flat minor. The band's third album 'Lust Lust Lust' landed back in 2007, after which the duo took a break.

Singer Sharon Foo took time off music in order to rest after her pregnancy, with her sister bizarrely taking her place in The Raveonettes. Songwriter Sune Rose Wagner released a Danish language solo LP last year, but the pair have decided to reconvene.

'In And Out Of Control' is the duo's first album in two years and is a storming comeback. Musically and lyrically amongst the most uncompromising work the band have recorded to date, sample song titles include 'Boys Who Rape (Should All Be Destroyed)' and 'Suicide'.

A far cry from The Raveonettes' carefree cover version of 'My Boyfriend's Back' the album is due for release in October. So far fans have only heard a handful of tracks with 'Bang!', 'Heart Of Stone' and 'Last Dance' all being streamed online.

The Raveonettes are due to preview their new album with a very special one off London show. Due to play a host of new tracks alongside old favourites, it is the band's first British show in some time.

The Raveonettes are due to release their new album 'In And Out Of Control' on October 5th. The duo have confirmed the following date:

October
5 London Hoxton Bar & Kitchen
