Radiohead's Thom Yorke To Unveil New Songs

With his solo band in tow

New reports indicate that Radiohead singer Thom Yorke is set to play a series of new tracks during Los Angeles shows this weekend.

Thom Yorke never ceases to amaze. As if it wasn't enough that Radiohead were previewing new material lead singer Yorke headlines Latitude, announces a new solo 12 inch and confirms some tour dates.

The cherry on the top? Thom Yorke's solo band is set to contain none other than Red Hot Chili Peppers bass player Flea in their ranks.

Joining Flea will be the likes of long time Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich and Brazilian percussionist Mauro Refosco. A member of New York-based band Forro In The Dark the musician has spoken out over the possible set list at the forthcoming shows.

Due to open in Los Angeles on October 4th, Thom Yorke's solo shows will apparently feature his album 'The Eraser' in its entirety. The album was released in 2006 and was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize.

Speaking to Abril the bass player revealed that Thom Yorke and his band will be playing 'The Eraser' alongside four new songs, one Radiohead song and perhaps some more surprises.

The interview has sparked ceaseless speculation amongst Thom Yorke's fans. Radiohead recently released 'Harry Patch' as a new download, which could possibly be the one song promised in Refosco's interview.

However fans are also wondering if Thom Yorke could be about to play his contribution to the 'Twilight' soundtrack. Titled 'Hearing Damage' the song is already a favourite among fans but has yet to have its live debut.

Thom Yorke is set to play Los Angeles on October 4th.
