Radiohead's Thom Yorke Solo Details
New 12 inch due
Radiohead singer Thom Yorke has revealed yet more details about his forthcoming 12 inch solo release.
One of the most acclaimed songwriters of his generation, Thom Yorke has strangely shied away from from the limelight. To date the singer has released just one solo album - 2006's 'The Eraser'.
However Yorke is set to continue releasing material under his own name. A solo show at Latitude earlier this summer brought the house down, with Thom Yorke performing a number of stripped down Radiohead classics.
Shortly after news broke that the singer was set to release a new twelve inch - his first solo new release in three years. Thom Yorke will release the double A-side later this year, with track titles being confirmed as 'FeelingPulledApartbyHorses' and 'The Hollow Earth'.
In a new posting on the official Radiohead website the frontman confirmed that the 12 inch will be strictly limited, with orders being shipped from September 21st. Both songs were produced by long time Radiohead cohort Nigel Godrich.
Talking about the song 'FeelingPulledApartbyHorses' Yorke revealed that it was actually co-written with Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood. The track is allegedly "a radical rework of an old tune that's been kicking around without a home since 2001".
'The Hollow Earth' meanwhile is a "bass menace that was born out of the 2006 solo album 'The Eraser' period, but needed a little more time".
Meanwhile Thom Yorke has also been discussing possible names for his solo project. In an interview withBBC 6Music's Adam Buxton the comedian claimed that Yorke should name himself either Thombola, Thomosexual, The Duke Of Yorke or T.Homme.
Thom Yorke is due to release the new 12 inch on September 21st.
