Radiohead

Green-friendly group Radiohead have announced that environmental group Friends Of The Earth will be joining them on a campaign to highlight climate change issues.

During the tour Friends Of The Earth will be giving postcards to fans and urging them to write to Gordon Brown to deliver a strong climate change law that will deliver 80 per cent reductions in UK emissions by 2050 and include emissions from aviation and shipping.

Last year the band commissioned environmental experts "Best Foot Forward" to calculate the carbon footprint the band's tours cause. Since then, Radiohead have done everything in their power to reduce tour emissions - now even going as far as to ask fans who travel to gigs to car share or use public transport.

Radiohead launch the European leg of their low carbon world tour today (July 24th).
