Queens Of The Stone Age

Queens Of The Stone Age have entered the debate over twerking with a humorous new announcement.

In one fell sweep, Miley Cyrus took a filthy underground dance move into the mainstream. Following her performance at the VMAs, 'twerking' became a hot topic with think pieces flooding the internet in its wake.

Queens Of The Stone Age were obviously watching events unfold with a wry smile on their face, and decided to pass comment with a new press release. (via Pitchfork)

Announcing a show at Brooklyn venue the Barclays Center, the band said:

"On December 14 Brooklyn, New York's Barclays Center will be designated as a (relatively) twerk-free-zone as QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE will play its debut headline engagement at the arena, restricting teddy bears to the merch table and returning guitars, drums and other such live instruments to the Barclays stage."
