Queens Of The Stone Age have paired up with The Creators Project for new video 'The Vampyre Of Time And Memory'.
Queens Of The Stone Age have always been aware of their visual output, of the way in which they present their music. From record sleeves to videos, it's a painstaking, exacting process which has produced some undeniably striking results.
Pairing up with the Creators Project, Queens Of The Stone Age have crafted a bold new statement. 'The Vampyre Of Time And Memory' is an interactive video, with users able to manipulate the footage as they see fit.
Directed by Kii Arens and Jason Trucco and designed and developed by Darknet, this is more of a visual installation than a humble music promo. Influenced by classic horror and surrealist cinema, the band themselves take a central role.
Arens and Trucco commented: "Working on this Queens video was the ultimate artistic joyride. Joshua Homme and company gave us the creative keys to the car from word go… and Josh has a badass car. Vampyre is such a thick track… On the technology side, Darknet was the perfect forward-thinking company to push the boundaries of music video presentation. All art is technology, technology that shares an experience or an idea. Vampyre uses all the tools available to us today to share a meaningful common experience. We're so proud to be a part of the best rock album in a decade. Long live The Queens!"
