Queens Of The Stone Age For Open'er

Bill for Polish festival expands
Open'er

Queens Of The Stone Age are amongst the latest additions to this year's instalment of Open'er.

Situated in Poland, Open'er is rapidly emerging as a powerhouse on the European festival calendar. With lines of communication being strengthened between Eastern Europe and the UK, the event is rapidly becoming a destination of choice for music fans in this country and beyond.

The latest announcement from Open'er contains some enticing names. Queens Of The Stone Age are the latest band to confirm their involvement, with the American rock heroes set to headline next summer's instalment.

Continually in a state of flux, Queens Of The Stone Age recently switched drummers. Joey Castillo departed, with long time friend - and, indeed, former collaborator - Dave Grohl stepping in to assist the recording of their sixth studio album.

Set to perform at Open'er, the band are expected to include material from their as yet un-titled sixth album. Expect a few surprises (alongside old favourites) from a band who are arguably one of the finest rock outfits on the planet.

Previously, Open'er announced a headline performance from Blur. The Britpop icons cast doubt over their future this summer, with frontman Damon Albarn issuing a number of cryptic phrases during interviews. Roaring out of the traps, the band then confirmed a series of continental appearances including a headline slot at Open'er.

Early bird tickets are on sale now.

Open'er runs between July 3rd - 6th.
