Prodigy On New Album
Rave heroes talks 'Invaders...'
Rave rock heroes The Prodigy have been talking up their new album and the band have revealed that indie-grime group Does It Offend You, Yeah? popped by the studio to help.
Born from the ecstatic explosion of energy that followed the rave era, The Prodigy broke into the mainstream with a series of massive (and controversial) hits. The band are set to release revitalised new album 'Invaders Must Die' in March, and they spoke to XFM to describe its origins.
Liam Howlett told the radio station:
“It probably came midway through the sessions. I think the vocals we did initially came from another piece of music, and then we worked on it for about two or three months. The last stage our friend James from Does It Offend You, Yeah? came in to help us on a bit of production. It’s more melodic than our other stuff.”
The band are also due to play Wembley Stadium, with Howlett commenting:
“Live-wise, we’ve always had quite a diverse group of people into our music from when we started. I think that’s something we’ve always had."
