Prodigy For Isle Of Wight
Friday line up released
The organisers of the Isle of Wight festival has revealed some of the acts who will play the opening day of the event, with sets from The Prodigy, Pendulum and The Ting Tings all confirmed.
The Isle Of Wight has hosted festivals almost since the summer of love. In its first incarnation the event boasted iconic sets from Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and more, before falling by the wayside for a number of decades.
Now revived, the new Isle Of Wight festival has set about becoming on of the summer season's main attractions. Last year the event boasted sets from Sex Pistols, The Police and Kaiser Chiefs as huge crowds descended onto the island.
The Prodigy are on the comeback trail, with new album 'Invaders Must Die' a revitalised return to form. Released on February 23rd, the band will play some of their stunning new material when they take the stage on June 12th.
The rave rock giants will be joined on the opening day by The Ting Tings, Basement Jaxx and Pendulum.
The Isle Of Wight festival takes place between June 12th - 14th.
