Prodigy On Dave Grohl
Band talk new album
Rave heroes The Prodigy have spoken about their new collaboration with Foo Fighters drumer Dave Grohl taken from forthcoming 'Invaders Must Die', it has been reported.
The band's first album in some time 'Invaders Must Die' is a revitalised and eclectic set combining some classic Prodigy-elements with up to date influences. Featuring a host of guest stars, Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters joins the band for one track, 'Running With The Wolves'.
Lead singer Keith Flint told BBC 6Music "we didn't do it to be us and Dave our rock buddy collaboration, but just as a friend of ours who does wicked drums that did a track with us."
Band member Liam Howlett added "we've known Dave for quite a few years. We haven't just phoned him up and said, 'Dave can you get on the record?'"
"He sent me some drums on a hard-drive with hope that it might inspire me to write a song - sure enough when I got the hard-drive it was really inspirational,” he said.
"It's good to hear him play the drums without any other instruments - people don't hear that.”
The Prodigy's new album 'Invaders Must Die' is set to be released on March 2nd.
