Rave giants The Prodigy release their new album 'Invaders Must Die' today (February 23rd).

Formed from the explosive energy of the illegal rave scene, The Prodigy gave the giants parties their soundtrack with the anthemic 'Charlie'. Shaking off novelty status the band blended techno, drum and bass and rock influences to create a startling new sound.

The group's second album 'Music For The Jilted Generation' stands as a high water mark for alternative music in the 90s, while follow up 'Fat Of The Land' became a global hit.

The Prodigy went into hiatus towards the end of the 90s, releasing one more album the poorly received 'Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned'.
