Prince Gay Marriage Row

Global star Prince has raged against a new interview, claiming he was mis-quoted when in a statement that appears to criticize the campaign for gay marriage.

The issue of gay marriage is currently a massive debating point after the state of California removed the right of homosexual people to marry. In an article in the newspaper the New Yorker the writer is quoted as saying:

“When asked about his perspective on social issues — gay marriage, abortion — Prince tapped his Bible and said, ‘God came to earth and saw people sticking it wherever and doing it with whatever, and he just cleared it all out.’”

However a source from the Prince camp has apparently told infamous celebrity blogger Perez Hilton that "what His Purpleness actually did was gesture to the Bible and said he follows what it teaches, referring mainly to the parts about loving everyone and refraining from judgment.”

Adding “we’re very angry he was misquoted."

it is not known what action, if any, Prince will take against the newspaper.
