Renowned Barcelona music festival Primavera has updated its bill to include garage legends The Sonics, new wave weirdos Devo and Steve Albini's Shellac project.

The Sonics practically invented punk rock in the mid 60s with their heavy riffs and screaming vocals. Cutting garage rock classics such as "The Witch" and "Psycho" the group are favourites with rock cognoscenti such as Jack White.

Primavera takes place at the end of May, in the sunshine of Barcelona. The stunning city makes a perfect backdrop for an eclectic bill. Other acts newly confirmed for the bill include MGMT, Explosions In The Sky, Times New Viking and Moho.

Primavera takes place between May 29th - 31st, in Barcelona.
