Primal Scream New York Gig

American Date Announced

Dance-rock pioneers Primal Scream have announced a show at New York's Webster Hall for next Spring, it has been reported.

The band were formed by frontman Bobby Gillespie and took on a life of their own after the singer left fellow Creation act The Jesus And Mary Chain. After a period of playing jangly indie music the band happened upon Acid House, and became one of the most successful dance-rock acts of the era.

Their LP 'Screamadelica' is undoubtedly one of the best records of the 90s, and the band went on to produce a few more classics. Current album 'Beautiful Future' was released in July, and was produced by Bjorn Yttling and Paul Epworth. A stunning collection, it earned the group a place on the cover of Clash Magazine.

A ferocious live band, Primal Scream are set to play Webster Hall in New York on March 28th. Fans of the band who can't travel that far can console themselves with the following UK dates:

December 11th - Liverpool, Academy
December 12th - Manchester, Apollo
December 13th - Glasgow, SECC
