Primal Scream For Isle Of Man Festival

New event confirmed

Primal Scream are amongst the acts confirmed for the newly inaugurated Isle of Man Festival.

Much noted for its annual TT events, the Isle of Man doesn't have many musical exports to boast about. Aside from the Bee Gees, in fact, even the most hardened pop pundits would struggle to place a Manx musical lineage.

However a new live event could change these perceptions. The Isle of Man Festival launches this summer, and aims to bring some big names to the island.

A one day show with the capacity for 15,000 fans, the festival will be headlined by Primal Scream. Recently returning with their new album, the band have been re-energised with live shows drawing on the full force of their back catalogue.

Bobby Gillespie & Co. will be joined by Johnny Marr, with the former Smiths guitarist currently on imperious solo form. However it's not just indie – the Isle of Man festival will be joined by the Ministry of Sound who will curate an entire arena.

Set against the Irish sea, tickets for the Isle of Man festival are priced at £55.

The Isle of Man Festival takes place on July 6th.
