On the edge of electronic wizardry lie the future mainstream sounds and Festival Semibreve is there to present this experimentalism to a waiting musical world.
The event takes place in Braga, Portugal from November 15th to 17th and the final lineup has now been announced.
Philip Jeck and Lol Sergeant will be recreating their seminal 1993 work, 'Vinyl Requiem', which brought together 180 old record players to create an innovative experience. Luke Younger of Helm is a sound artist meshing sound poetry, industrial, hallucinatory drones and abstract sources.
Raime is a duo from London rising fast and portraying a shadowy aesthetic with a physicality and force that has been admired by Aphex Twin; Sculpture’s post-techno and audio/visual nature comprises analogue and digital cybernetics, while there’s also an installation by musician and composer Janek Schaefer.
Already confirmed for the festival are Atom TM, Forest Swords, The Haxan Cloak and Rafael Toral’s Space Collective 3.
Festival passes are 25 Euro but fear not, Clash shall be there intrepidly reporting.
