Premiere: Vladimir – ‘In My Head’

Dundee based noise rockers return...

The Scottish city of Dundee has always done things its own way.

When the independence referendum rolled around, the city stood out by the colour of its conviction: named Yes City, it defied opinion and concensus to vote in a manner it felt was right.

There's a curious independence of sound to Vladimir, too. The band's ominous, bleak fusion of noise with slate grey melodies is born from an urban upbringing, a style which seems to evolve from what's inside, rather than what's around them.

Already noted for their feral, ear-bleeding live show, new single 'In My Head' continues the group's journey to get that sound down on tape.

An imposing, ferocious return, there are shades of The Jesus & Mary Chain or even Nick Cave in here – but what really shines through is their individuality, independence of thought.

Check it out now.

Vladimir will release 'In My Head' on April 27th. Catch the band supporting The Fall in London on April 24th.
