Premiere: Videocean – ‘Fruitless Fever’

Psychedelia meets shoegaze meets soul...

Videocean have that wide open sound.

Formed in Peckham, the group fuse psychedelia with soul, pop melodies with the lush, effects-laden sound of shoegaze.

Relocating to Squarehead studio in Kent following a few New Year's Resolution, Videocean set about laying their dense, evocative live sound down on tape.

New cut 'Fruitless Fever' is the result. Kicking off a busy summer for the band, it's a crisp, gently uplifting piece of music that allows the billowing guitars to fuse with that pointed vocal.

Remarkably concise yet also wide open, 'Fruitless Fever' feels like a starting point. Tune in now.
