Premiere: The Icypoles – Just You

Blissful, languid pop from Melbourne...

Melbourne is one of Australia's cultural hubs.

One of the country's more liberal cities, Melbourne has always played host to an eccentric, idiosyncratic music scene.

The Icypoles are a new name, but the some members could well be familiar. Roughly 50% of the band started life playing horns with Architecture In Helsinki before deciding to try something new.

From the name down to the shimmering harmonies and gentle arrangements, this is sheer indie pop heaven. Debut album 'My World Was Made For You' contains thirteen nuggets, and finds The Icypoles making good on those ramshackle earlier releases.

Produced by Haima Marriott, Clash is able to premiere dreamy 'Twin Peaks' cover 'Just You'. Slow, languid songcraft with some somnambulist vocals and a down tempo girl group arrangement, you can check it out below:

'My World Was Made For You' will be released later this month.
