Premiere: The Fedz – ‘What’s My Name’

Funk with a 21st century attitude...

The Fedz is a new trans-Atlantic collective, matching the United States with the UK, legendary figures with brand new talent.

The project hinges on legendary producer Dennis Bovvel, who is joined by three incredible vocalists.

The stellar cast includes a host of guest musicians, who have played on some of the biggest releases this century.

New cut 'What's My Name' comes in the wake of Muhammed Ali's passing – the boxer used that expression to taunt Ernie Terrell after he continued to label him 'Cassius Clay'.

This is a stonking piece of 21st century funk, the slinky, contagious vocal sitting on top of some blasting horns and that filthy backbeat.
