Son Lux' new single 'Easy' has been re-worked - with Busdriver stepping in to add some dextrous rhymes.
Ryan Lott seems to fall between two roles, two identities. Equally adept as a traditional composer and a producer, his music oozes between analogue and digital, organic and tech-driven.
Energetic, but with a deep sense of meditation, each piece from Lott is an intriguing entity unto itself. Using the name Son Lux, third album 'Lanterns' seems to have found a much wider audience.
Touching on a vast array of influences, new single 'Easy' is a case in point. Remixed (with added rhymes) by Busdriver, it's a woozy, almost psychedelic cut which nods towards the Brainfeeder school of hip hop whilst still retaining Lott's compositional sense.
Listen to it below.
'Lanters' is set to be released on October 29th.
