Premiere: sir Was – ‘A Minor Life’ (Christoffer Berg Remix)

A spaced out reinterpretation that deals in dubby electronics...

Swedish producer Christoffer Berg has stepped in to remix sir Was.

Despite its global importance the Swedish music scene isn't a big place, not really. sir Was – real name Joel Wästberg – is pretty well connected, with his talents as a producer and electronic musician gaining respect from his peers and contemporaries.

New album 'Digging A Tunnel' certainly underscored this, with sir Was casting a diverse mosaic of sounds across a languid, atmospheric full length.

Stand out cut 'A Minor Life' has gained a fresh remix, courtesy of fellow Swedish artist Christoffer Berg.

sir Was tells Clash: "Me and Christoffer are both from Gothenburg and met here and there over the years. I really liked his work on the album 'Silent Shout' from The Knife and been interested in his music making in the electronic field. I was curious what he would do if he got some of my material in his hands. So I gave him a one of my songs and this is what happened. Please press play."
